Evo VIII Headlight Cover

Hey people!!! i was wondering if its possible to change the cover on my passenger headlight...by cover i mean the clear plastic or glass that covers the headlight...

my current passenger headlight is cracked ...when i wash the car it condensates on the inside and somehow theres a dead bug (fly) inside by the turn signal...and a little dirt...its not just cracked...its got a hole on the far right side when looking straight at the car...and a crack that goes from the hold across the front where the foglight is...

i just need to know if i can replace that piece...and where i can get that piece if i can replace it...

(and yes i know now would be a good time to get those JDM MR Headlights...(I WANT THEM SOOO BAD!) but i dont wanna spend $700+ on a cosmetic mod...so if it can be fixed i will fix it!)

thanks for reading...sorry its sorta like an essay...

How about just trying to get a used passenger headlight. It may be less of a headache than trying to replace just the lens.

check the for sale section for a passenger side head light.

post in the aprpopriate sub forum (i.e not show and shine for a "advancded interior/electrical" topic"

all b/s aside.....

yes if you can/are:

find that part from the dealer (not sure if its sold individually or not)

capable of baking & splitting the headlight open yourself.

confident in your skills with silicone.

can wait 24 hours for the silicone to dry (have another vehicle to use in the meantime)

so yes it is perfectly feasible to exchange the outer lens cover, if the part is available for less than 400 bucks. ounce you get any where near that mark just buy a used set or try and hold out for a single one to come up. i would also recommend searching the part out section of the for sale sub forum and look for a evo with most the damage on the opposite side, and send him a pm. that would be the best / cheapest / easiest /least labor intensive way to go.

ps. is that your lime green evo?

and was it ever @ Kennedy transmission in MN?
