OK, first off, let me thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts. I'd rather this thread stay on this particular subject. Here goes, I'm in the process of starting a vinyl graphics business...NOW, I know some of you are thinking...RICE! I disagree; my intentions will be to consult with my clients and create unique designs, based on the client's need. Almost everyone with sponsors like to have the graphics put on...I'll start with car clubs, the car show scene, etc.
I'm not trying to imitate the 'Fast and the Furious' scene...I think if it's 'tastefully' done, it can add true value to you personally, your car club, business, or simply the car show aspect.
I'd like to get a feel for who would consider having vinyl graphics professionally installed! Your input is GREATLY appreciated!

I personally wouldn't want graphics on my own car but I would think tons of people in clubs would have a intrest. Man start your company up and running and you will do well. Wish I had money to start my own business.

I voted no, only because when I think of graphics on cars, I usually think of the F&F style gay gaudy graphics, or things like TYPE-R, and japenese symbols that mean something stupid, oh yeah, and the old english text in your last name.
But I definately think that if you could put forth a custom graphics shop, that would be tight. I've often thought about what kind of cool, subtle designs I could put on my car (when it wasn't smashed.)
LEMME KNOW IF YOU NEED A DESIGNER! I'D LOVE TO MOVE TO VA.!

I think if they are done tastefully they can add something to the car. When I say that, I mean something like the stripe on the Tommi Makkinnen edition cars, or the arrow shaped stripe I've seen on the Vivid Racing car, I think. No big *** tribal designs, No stupid robotic looking animals, and other such things.
Camdog, having just left L.A. (the home of the car scene), the trend is getting further and further from graphics. Everyone there is going toward super-clean JDM-look cars. Just a thought. If you think of something that would really work, by all means, try it. All of those vinyl graphics are removeable after all.
I went very subtle. A few shades off from the car color. Small and almost unnoticable but there. My Sister owns her sign company so it was very easy to do. She had disk with corporate logos on it. Some people don't like them due to the fact that i'm not sponsored by the companys but I did sponsor them by buying the car. And it beats a huge knight with a sword coming out of his @$$ plastered on my door.
