That's great! And same here; I'm buying a Mirage next year, myself, and I will convert it to an Evo IV, or at least make it look like an Evo IV and upgrade it. Make you're own thread when you get started! I wanna see some progress, too!

Well best of luck to those of you starting your own projects! It makes for a great hobby (albeit an expensive one). Nothing is more satisfying than looking back on what the car used to look like, what it used to handle like, and especially how little power it once had compared to now. It may have cost a lot, but to me the car is worth every penny.

That said, I just dropped a whole lot more pennies into this project. I was going to keep this under wraps until they arrived, but I couldn't resist. Here is my Christmas present this year for the Evo:

OP,
I'd like to do an Evo 6 and have it be RHD and legal in the states. I'm thinking of buying a JDM/Canadian Evo 6 and a USDM 4 door Mirage.... then swapping everything over.

the only issue I see with this is the dash setup, brake master cylinder, steering rack, etc.

Do you know of a way to get RHD dash/firewall parts?

I think theres a guy who did it on here, or maybe it was somewhere else that I saw, he actually bought an Evo IV front clip and used a plasma cutter and cut the firewalls out of the clip and and out of his car and welded the Evo Firewall into his Mirage. The dash should bolt right in.

BCSPEED: This build is badass I love it, I wish I were closer so I can come see it in person lol

You see, I just joined this forum early this year to see if people import cars to the US like these, and I totally agree with you; this is a messed up world. What you just said made me so angry at the fact I can't take that Evo off your hands.

This conversion project inspired me to do the same thing with a Mirage (to an Evo IV) starting next year, hopefully in the summer, and the lack of importation capabilities in the US initially helped inspire that, too.

I wanted to import a 1997 FTO GPX and/or a TME, but it ten times the pain of converting a Mirage; trust me. Plus, converting is more fun, I'm hoping.

@BCspeed

Are you close to finish? How much longer do you think it'll take?
