I was hoping to put my interfooler on today but the Evo 8 one doesn't fit, so I have to order one from an Evo 4. I figured that would be nice to have so I can get the body fitment right before the engine goes in.

However I did get my OEM crash bar to fit, without any cutting! Yay 5-mph safety! More serious updates in about week or so.

Get an eBay intercooler for like $75 shipped, you just need to attach two custom brackets on the bottom and top.

it's a disgrace how the USA cannot import these cars. I have mine sitting here gathering dust with 28k miles on the clock and cannot find a buyer in Ireland because of the downturn and here we have a guy building one from scratch at a greater cost no doubt than buying one. it's a messed up world

CN9A that's from an evo IV.....with antilag...nice. I thought the IV had a few issues with crankwalk. Do you know anything about the internals?

The IV blocks are prone to failure at high power. Going to run this at stock boost, maybe up it just a few PSI. When I decide to up the ante I'll go for an Evo 8 block and internals.

I'm planning on changing the block the same time I go AWD. I'm making this one FWD until I have all the parts needed for the AWD conversion.

More pics tomorrow.

Transfer case got messed up in shipping, so I'm filing a claim on it. Since it's already messed up I plan on opening it up and welding the center differential for FWD.

I've got some questions for those of you really familiar with Evo engine bays. Most of the stuff is there, but some things are missing, and I need to know what to order. Any help is appreciated!

This tube is on the back of the intake manifold, where does it go?

This looks like a coolant tube. There is one a few inches below as well. Does this go to the firewall?

Finally, and most importantly, does anyone know what these wires go to? They are near the end of the harness (battery side).

My TPS is busted, are there any other options besides the Evo 4 one? Could another 4-prong Mitsu one work?

And a shot of how the engine is now.

Thanks for any help!
