Did the Evo IX wheels bolt right up to the Mirage hubs? Or are they already swapped for the Evo 6 hubs?

Also, do you know if the Evo IV and Evo VI hubs are the same bolt pattern and such?

Thanks for keeping the thread alive everyone. I have been plagued with one hell of a cold, so there hasn't been any progress for some time. I'm hoping to have the engine in by the first week of December.

@Polish Person, here is what I know about the hubs. My Mirage had 4x100 hubs, stock. What I did up front was use a set of Evo 4 hubs and control arms. Those are 5x114.3 hubs, which let me use the IX wheels. I am told Evo 4/5 hubs are identical.

Where things get mixed up a little is the Evo 6 hubs. While these are the same bolt pattern, they use a different ball joint style, which was limited to the 6 ONLY. The TME actually used Evo 5 arms and hubs. So the point here is, you can't mix Evo 6 hubs with Evo 4/5 control arms, and vice-versa.

The rear is converted to 5x114.3 using Lancer Ralliart rear trailing arm and hub assemblies. When I go to AWD I will use Evo 6 hubs, arms, etc.

Thanks a lot! I'm debating picking up an Evo IV and after I saw the IX wheels on your project, I thought they'd be a nice choice over the VOLKs and RAYs that all Evo's seem to be running around on. And they'd probably be cheaper.

The project is coming out great. Are you planning on doing the wider wheel arches for the rear?

Took the car out for a spin in the snow. Unfortunately the front splitter busted, had a little accident last night involving someone's front lawn...

Oops!

Don't take turns too fast, while driving on solid ice.

Time to pull out the fiberglass, or just Bondo and metal strips. Car looks nice, but it almost makes me want to buy sideskirts for you, cause they would help the look tenfold.

Side skirts should be here in about a week, bought some OEM ones. And yeah I'm hoping to have it fixed with some bondo (father works in autobody). Not looking forward to removing the lip in sub-freezing degree weather tomorrow though!

Yikes, you were using the OEM ADVANS in the snow? That explains your minor accident

Word. I just took my front bumper off and removed my RA style CF lip, and its 18 degrees outside.
