Thanks, the seats were masked off, then sprayed with 2 coats of Burgundy (Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric paint). Then they were sprayed with 2 coats of Red. Without the red it would be too dark/purple. Without the burgundy it's way too flashy of a red. CLEAN THE SEATS before you spray!

Now I haven't been up to much lately. I got a job that is helping me pay for college. I just got enought now to pay for my first quarter, and I have about $600 now saved up for the car. I would have more, but I ended up buying some new wheels.

Evo IX MR BBS forged wheels, you guys would know!

No posts? Come on!

Well I have more good news, my JDM Evo 6 wing came in. Yes, I know it needs paint, but it is so much nicer than the fiberglass wing I had before. I had to drill 3 new holes to fit, and I still need to set up the LED brake light.

More stuff is coming, postage is just slow.

Thinking of putting the parts on the car again, and waiting to get it all resprayed at once. It's going to be probably a month before I get my side skirts anyhow.

Now I've done some thinking, should I buy the engine and transmission first, or should I ready the rear end for AWD? Gas tank, floor, diff, etc. If I buy the engine it won't do me any good now unless I get a FWD t-case. If I set-up for AWD, it will simply take me longer to get an engine in there. I already have the rear knuckles and hubs.

Thoughts?

well it seems u might as well get the rear end all situated for AWD if you are going that route. yeah u can get an engine but it wont do u any good until u have the rear set up for AWD and all that jazz anyways. no since in wasting money putting the engine in for FWD when u are gonna convert it to AWD down the road. I think u should finish the cosmetics, get the look then get going on the engine. im sure u will feel a lot nicer driving around in a 1 piece TME looking car than a mis-match piece/ color looking mirage lol (still looks good though ).

with that said love this project and check up on updates once i see it gets bumped, cnt wait for this to keep moving along! keep us posted!

Thanks, and yeah it would be nice to have it all painted up. I'm thinking about just spraying the fenders black myself, until my side skirts show up. That said, check out the new pics. I put the TME bumper back on because I was running out of room in the garage.

looking good, i would get the car ready for the 4wd swap first then respray it while the engine is out. take your time though don't be rushing just to please subscribers to the thread.

No reason to appease those who subscribe, it's just fun making some progress, even if it will be replaced/modified later on. That's especially true with this next little update:

Spent a couple bucks and sprayed the fenders black. Hopefully I will be ordering some OEM ones soon.

It seems like the car still sits really high. Does it need to be lowered still or are you missing side skirts?

It's missing the skirts, which is why it looks so high up I guess. Tein coilovers under there.

Skirts are on a container ship somewhere in the Pacific.
