in my opinion HIDs are cool not because of the color but the cut off line, having a bright headlight for visibility should be concern #1, u can have a bright white light and a colorful cut off line. sure $80 can get u a dif. hue of HID. but to retrofit a set of good HIDs in our car is the way to go. TSX projectors FTW.

OP for this thread got his done from LightWerkz.net

Difficult to install? Or just plug in to factory harness?

Most kits you just have to plug into the factory harness and you are good to go. Some other you have to simple run an extra power wire to a power source. Pretty simple.

i had silverstars in my car originally, went to an 8000k lowbeam kit, and i still think the light output was better. a lot of it is in how well your headlights are adjusted. bought an $80 ebay kit and one of the bulbs burnt out after a couple months. bought some $30 6000k next time and they've been perfect since. i have some yellow 40w fogs retrofitted in the headlights as well and that combination is seriously like daylight. then again they are adjusted a tad high and a little bit out to either side too.

I've bought a couple of different kits from different makers and sellers and I can honestly say it's all the same crap with just different labels. I have found one person that I'm happy with product wise and service wise. He's on ebay as seller id: supervtec
The last kit I bought was about a month ago to put on my 07' GSXR 1K... Buy Now for $80 shipped..... get the super slim kit and it comes with small *** ballasts that can mount anywhere! I ordered on a Wednesday afternoon and they were on my door step on Friday!
Just sharing my experience with you guys.... hope this helps another person in deciding on a kit.
