This is how I did it, don't know if there is a real DIY thread on it:
Take off brake lines from caliper, plug the lines. I zip-tied plastic bags over the ends to stop the leaks. Remove caliper and pads from vehicle. Depress pistons in caliper to remove all fluid from housing. I used a aircraft stripper to get the paint off with sandpaper of course. You don't have to get every scrap of paint off for a good finish. Tape off the pistons, bleeder nipples and bolt holes used to attach caliper to spindle. Use hi-temp primer, paint, and clear. Remember to apply Brembo decals before the clear. Follow the paint instructions closely. It matters greatly to the longevity of the finish to do so.
Let dry, re-install and bleed brakes. BOOM. Your done.
I may have missed something but it isn't a difficult job at all. It will take the better part of your weekend though.
does anyone know how well the high temp primer, paint, clear method holds up? pics after some mileage? or should i just go for a powdercoat? mine need a paint job bad
they are lookin pretty grizly

I would assume it holds up good but I wouldn't know since I powder coated mine.
Used high temp paint on mine, still look new like the day i painted them its been about 18 months now!
Plan on re-doing them in the new year as the purple is not a good match to the rest of the parts.
