When I do brembos for customers I strip the pistons and seals completely then I dip them in my bucket of chemical stripper. I have reused old seals and installed new seals. No problems with reusing old seals.

How many have you reused the old seals? Any failures? I just searched for seals. It's $150 for Girodisc seal kit for all four calipers. That seems crazy. Got to pay if you want to play.

I have done two sets with the old seals no problems reported from neither one and I'm on daily contact with both since they're my friends.

I believe kns is cheaper than girodisc but don't quote me on that since I only ordered from girodisc once and my latest customer brought his new seals and he bought them from kns but it's for a Subaru.

$150 for all 4 isn't too bad but I don't see the need to replace the old seals unless they're torn/beat or leaking. Some people like to do it for the piece of mind.

I saw the display spdracr83 had at East Coast MOD 2012. His work looks great! Good thing too, since tirado seems to be inactive for a while. BTW, I believe that its best to split the calipers, and paint the halves separately because if you don't, you'll ruin your expensive paint job if you ever have to to split them afterward.
