Official: RE-PAINTED BREMBO's Thread
The calipers look great Spdrcr. Shiny... We just sand ours and paint them black at the end of the season, as they just turn black anyway and, with all the seal and dust boot changes (4 a season) and brake bleeding (weekly), they get pretty roughed up. We don't, however, split the calipers. Brembos racing advised us that, unless the need was dire, we should not pull them apart as they (including the bolts) were not really designed to be retorqued/ rebuilt. I'm not suggesting that my information was perfect, but was wondering if you had spoken/ worked with Brembo to ensure your process for rebuilding met their criteria and maintained the operating integrity of the caliper?

Brembo advices against it but to insure media doesn't get stuck in it its best to split them. Also the powder will crack where the two halves meet from the constant vibration.
They've been split and people have been doing them that way for a long time and no failures yet so its not dangerous to split them but brembo advices against it.
those of you that got your calipers powder coated... you just removed them got them powder coated then stuck them back on right? Or do you have to bleed your brake system too? because i want to get them powder coated metallic blue with white lettering like this
i'll be sending you a pm soon! after i find out if i have to bleed the brake system just for taking the calipers out and get all the materials i need
Of course u have to bleed them in the correct sequence
