SmikeEvo - Meh Hemit :)

Been thinking about doing this for some time. As you know, Aku and Samurai Jack are dear to me -- been my avatar forever.

Here is my starting canvas - HJC CL-15 matte black. Great helmet - super light and comfortable.

Roughing out the design:

White down:

Green down:

Red down:

Finished product:

Some touch ups to do once it cures some more.

I'll put my gold shield back on in a few days time and put up the super final pic.

Happy racing!

MG

Wow that's a wicked helmet, any chance you can tell me what it cost? I'm looking at replacing an open-face helmet with a closed-face helmet.

I believe helmetcity.com has it for about $150. I just bought a white full face HJC from them for about $129.

I would, but the paint pens I am using have xylene as the carrier. So when I tried to put down another coat - it tends to wipe off the old coat. Once it cures off, I can hit it with more.

I picked this up from helmetcity.com

http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/PR...cl15matteblack

But if mostly a car/track helmet -- check out the Pyrotect's
http://www.pyrotect.com/product.php?...&cat=14&page=1

Its SA05 over my M05 -- all but one MI track allows M05 for street cars.

Thanks Rob!

I have a Pyrotech open face right now and to be honest, I'm not a Pyrotech fan. It's not a bad helmet but it's bulky, heavy and the quality isn't superb (a screw broke the first day I had it).

Nice to see an original design on a helmet. I have a Shoei RF-1000 for my riding duties.
