goforwand Evolution MR Build Thread
It's been a very frustrating situation.....
The car was brought to another shop in the Pittsburgh area to fix the frame and repair/replace the entire front rail structure (ka ching!) which essentially "un-did" all the front end work that Domination did. The front end structure is now completely stock.
As the season at that point in time was over, the car sat there for a couple months as they worked on it as they could around the "regular" work they had. Good thing is the car is now 100% straight versus the mess it was in before.
The car then went back to Domination for a few other things and finally just got out of paint and over to Mike a week ago.
I'll be posting up my own "consolidated" thread with updates and photo's once Mike puts it back together during the month of February.
Been a long road, but there is light at the end of the tunnel....

Patrick,
I read the entire thread and now I am subscribed! Good luck to you and I'll be looking forward to getting updates on your progress.
PS - What is the name of the local company that you got your trailer from?

Really good question!
So here was the math/logic....I got the car for just over $6K complete with engine/drivetrain/interior/everthing in tact.
My exisitng Evo IX with around 23K miles (IIRC) was worth around $21K in stock form.
So, the car "parts" (for either car) that have be sold/not needed for a race car has been about $6,000. The "net/net" start cost for the wreck was basically -$0 and the net/net start cost for the stock car I had would have been $15,000 if I kept it.
As long as it didn't cost more than $15K to straighten the frame, re-do the body work, get fenders, bumpers, paint, and the mechanical work to replace/repair any drivetrain issues I would have been ahead of the game, as the cost of the cage and weight reduction would have hypothetically been same for either car.
They are in Claysville, PA but have re-sellers in other parts of PA.
Nice little trailer; I'm happy with it.
P.S. Glad to see you made it home OK
