I suppose it depends on how long you were looking at your speed for, it doesn't take long, most cars don't stop on dimes I think is what he's saying

yeah i undertsand but i didnt look long at all these ppl in front slammed on their brakes also and it was downhill just def doesnt help doing 45mph. I understand looking at your speedo only takes a glance but i don't remember anything before it happened really. just remember seeing the car right in front of me.

lol i've been thinking about it all day of what else i could have looked at that i wouldnt have saw this car stop. i just cant remember, the collision was to hard i guess and rattled my brain lol

Looks salvagable and nobody is severely hurt. That's a plus. Thank Science.

You should try to find out what the people in front slammed on their brakes for. Maybe they were the ones not paying attention

I have fixed worse, I would buy it back and fix it.
If you did everything your self it would prolly be around 2,500-4k to fix.

Glad to know you're ok, especially in a head on collision.
The car does look salvageable. It sounds like maybe everyone was driving a little close to each other, including yourself. With a quick glance, you should have been able to stop, in this case, speed + distance played a variable.

yeah i talked ot my insurance company and they said the ppl that slammed on their brakes in front of me would be at fault if we can find them but they took off. So looks like ill be responsible but idc i have allstate with accident forgiveness!!! FTW

and i highly doubt this will be salvagable. The body shop it is at says its totaled. The pics arent really justifyable of the damage. Engine shifted completely and everything on the right side is pushed to the firewall....blows. Ill get a cheaper evo witht he economy the way it is and with the money ill get for my aftermarket stuff ill just throw into my new evo. I did just go back and look under the hood and the headers, turbo, cai, uicp seem to be fine. didnt see any dents or marks on them. The exhaust was pushed 4" out from the back also so that cant be good
