Of all the cars I've own, they never go to car wash. I wash and wax them myself.

I haven't had any issues so far after a couple dozen washes. From what I can see, the track usually doesn't reach the wheel. I started with their hand wash service, but it was getting too expensive and time consuming. I used to wash my own car, but just don't have the time anymore. The touchless ones I am familiar with usually don't do anything for the brake dust. What can I say, after the first couple of washes, even the evo became familiar enough that I started treating it like a regular car.

granted my oz lancer is no evo, i love to wash it my self. BUT i think i speak for a lot of people here when i say that our winters are too cold to wash our own cars by hand! No offense, but places like San Diego have nothing on a midwest or east coast winter's temps

tiny particles hide in the brushes at the car wash, so I dont trust them, and when it comes to hand drying, the dude that just dried off some truck has small pebbles in his cloth that will F*ck up your pait, (ie leave swirls) either do it yourself or go to the touchless wash.

Just dont wash it, let it collect dust and people will think you're off roading with it. Then all sorts of EvoM members will applaud and worship you for using the car for its true rally purpose *dies of sarcasm*.

I went to one with the spray thingies and air dry and whatnot. I just keep a towel and dry it off it myself.

Just curious, what about the vents in the hood? Does the water land on the turbo and manifold? I like going to the drive bay dyi car washes with the high pressure wands. I just got the car and haven't washed it yet.

Thanks.
