Yeah I am happy about it. Sure I have permenant damage from the malpractice, but my family and I will be taken care of. I am looking at home land security making six figures a year, plus I can buy back my federal time. I agree with everything happens for a reason. Three deployments and stressful years in the Army, maybe its just my time. I was doing the full 20 but doesnt look like that will happen. We are suing the hospital and now that I am losing my career the lawsuit goes way up.

PR DSM good luck man. That is def fast tracking.

Thanks man, so I've been told. Sometimes i think if its a good thing that I've gotten promoted so fast, There's a lot of things I'm learning we always learn... Man I agree and take every thing from them! The Army takes something we could never get back, Family time! I've lost my father and 2 brothers in 4 years and its been tough, on top of all the stress full deadlines when the army thinks the backbone can play "god" and make miracles happen... sometimes we do but at a cost and thats something they are not great full about... Don't get me wrong i love my job and with a degree i could be an officer but would loose out on 1-1 with the soldiers which to me is my greatest reward. I to am think its my time to get out but the wife says she still ones to stay in so we will see...

Fully understandable. Being able to train a soldier everything you know and prepare him or her for combat is a great feeling. The Military takes so much effort on our part to make things work. The Army itself could use better leadership across the board, and by this I mean way high up. Sorry to hear about you losing your father and 2 brothers. I am not sure I would be able to be strong enough to cope and let go.

Did you buy your car out here in Hawaii? Or did you have it shipped over? I'm in the market still and searching all over here, but only find a couple that look beat by the mainlanders!

Yep....it is official...Ft Sill is the armpit of the earth. Never thought I would say this, but I would rather be in the land of sand being mortared on a regular basis than to spend one more day here at Sill. Crappy thing is, I have another month before I head off to where life began.

On a different note. I need to keep my tuning skills up while I am away from home. If anyone wants me to take a look at their tunes and make "suggestions" I am more than willing to help out fellow military members.

Paul

Its something I definitely will consider. We have a lot going on here, and every little bit helps. You should try and push yourself back here... we may just have an open spot on the Shop Roster

I do have 2 915A slots in the Group

Shoot me an email explaining the slots. I am an NG soldier currently but only need about 5 years of active time to retire from active service rather than 2 years of NG service.

You peaked my interestes then you said "Group"...If it is what I am thinking....you are tempting me very, very much. Although, I am not looking forward to jump status...UGH getting old sucks.
