Thats pretty funky looking! Not really my style, but I can see the appeal for having that on a car with some blue wheels or something.

Anodizing adds $100.00 to the intercooler price.

Thanks,

Michael

I don't have a front bumper here for our evo or else I would take one. I'm sure the customer will post up

thanks!

Will it effect the efficiency of the intercooler?

Anodizing has no effect on the heat transfer of the intercooler. It's purely done for cosmetics on the front mounts. We do use a Type-2 hard anodizing with UV Protection so it will not fade. We have several customers with anodized front mounts that look the same since the first day they purchased them. They do not chip like a painted intercooler will.

The reason you don't see a lot of companies anodizing intercoolers is due to the cheap cores they use. If they purchase a Chinese intercooler chances are it's coated in an epoxy coating to prevent leaks. The quality control is not the best over seas.

Thanks!

Michael

The anodizing process is extremely durable since it chemically bonded to the aluminum.

Thanks,

Michael
