Mad respect for a proper setup. Would love this car, except California makes it hard for us.

Thanks guys

I don't think the stock evo 3 wing is rice but i just personally do not like them. I was pondering seeing what a USDM 8 wing would look like but adding weight for no real benefit is not my way.

I should have some pictures up soon of the intercooler swap and cam install

Wow, i haven't updated this in a while!

I managed to blow the ring landings earlier on in the year (25psi on stock pistons do that after a while lol). But alot has gone on since then. I have pretty much resigned the car from daily duty and have since gutted it and plan to add additional spot welds. I hope for it to be a capable autocross car, the only thing after this would be to get a set of 17x9 rota's for the S13's and some flares so i can fit something wider than a 225.

Installed a set of HKS cams, 272* intake and 264* exhaust along with the springs and retainers from an Evo 8.

The day after the cam install i ran at an autocross meet and lost a quart of oil over one run through the head, so i stopped driving the car.

Saw a used 2.3L short block forsale on dsmtuners for cheap so i got that anticipating it would just be a drop in job (in addition to gaskets/oil& water pumps etc) only to find out one of the bores were scored. I am now in the process of removing my motor so it can be bored 20 over to accept the Probe racing pistons. I still need to get new rings and bearings but i at least have the rotating assembly and can sell the block.

I scored an AGP intercooler meant for an SRT-4 locally and have modified the outlets to work. Core is 24x12x3.5.

Decided to change to the EvoX stock turbo even though no one makes a manifold for that yet. So a friend of mine and i bought a Lincoln 125 MIG and i got to work. Head flange is from RRE, bends are from acestainless and i got the straights locally. It is not the most glamorous but the welds are strong. It will be VHT'd and wrapped.

Bolted to the turbo

Here is the results of an actuator mod, the top half, diaphragm and half the rod are from a garrett actuator, the lower half, and spring are from an ebay 14psi stock replacement. I had a friend add a 1/4" of exhaust pipe below the diaphragm to increase the open throw. No spiking for me!

All mounted up, just an O2 housing and oil drain away from being complete.

Thanks. Wiring will definitely be cleaned up, the car is at my moms house so i don't get to work on it too often with my schedule.

I hope to drop the motor and transmission next week so i can start on the engine bay and shell prep.

For now though here is the 90% complete manifold. Will be getting some header wrap next week

Can't wait to get this all running and back on the course or strip.

Right seeing as i have more time than money at the moment I scrounged around at the repair area at my Uncle's quarry and found some "scrap" 3/8 plate to make my turbine outlet flange from. ( ETS makes a nice piece but they don't take overseas paypal/cc so for me (completely understandable, not vendor bashing by any means). I have a friend of mine in Florida thats ordering the sexy divided gasket for my though.)

I used the stock gasket wrapped in see through scotch tape to get the hole locations right. I chose to move the wastegate outlet further "down" and closer to the divider wall so the gases would have pretty much a straight shot out. Popped em out on a drill press and drilled the bolt holes.

The wastegate port is radius'd as best i could do with a porting bit along with a notch for the tallest part of the flapper to slot into for a little more travel (i do NOT want any boost creep this time around)

The turbine outlet port was blended into an off center 3" hole so i could weld a 3" pipe directly to it.

Seeing as the gasket side of the flange was less than perfect for sealing with a single layer stainless gasket i broke out some 100 grit and went to work on my glass computer table. (above pic is half way through, my arms are killing me)

Hopefully next month when a few of us on island are doing a summit order i will get the 3" 180* and 1.75" 90* bend i need to finish it.

Managed to get the head flange milled flat and wrap it.

Managed to get a buddy (tkrperformance on here) up there to order me the ETS gasket so he can send it my way.
