how did you get that purple color?? do you have the paint/powder coat color ?? if you dont want to tell me on here. could you pm me? i wanna do a different color cause i have gold right now and im getting bored of the color. it looks good btw.

 

they that PC'd it told me it was just a "candy purple" its really nice in person once sunlight hits it.. pictures dont do justice.. makes it look like a dull purple

Well today we finally found some time to start and FINISH the painting of the engine bay.. in my opinion it turned out GREAT! let me know what you guys think.. i tried to take the best pics i could but pictures simply dont do any justice on how SEXY the bay now looks

took off the bumper, fenders, hood and wheel well covers


took out the AC lines (not sure if i want to put it back in.. what do you guys think? it looks so clean with out that mess :?

fuse box and harness pulled (took a while to figure out how to pull the fusebox and harness apart and split them)

Scuffing up the paint using simple green




now time for some sanding using 500 grit






engine bay needs some lotion




final prep step to clean everything off using wax and grease remover




taping sucked as you can see








applying some adhesive promoter (make the paint stick better and prevent it from chipping easily over time)
