Kidloco51's Build thread. IX MR. Track Car.
Sick build
can't wait to see her finished and running
I will be doing some MAJOR aero to mine very soon and she will be going from daily driver/light track to almost full blown track car. I'm gonna have to copy that orange sticker from you

Awesome build. Some cool parts esp the voltex ones.
Why did you go with the Invidia 02 housing? I remember searching on this and there was a big discussion how it made no power over stock. They compared the works one as well during this comparo. Dave Buschur was the one doing the testing.
I am asking as I wonder if you read otherwise. That 02 is huge compared to all the others out there, so I was shocked how it didn't make power.
EDIT - Oh and 1 more thing - I remember reading that the 02 sensor won't reach the new bung location. If you see in your pictures, the 02 housing has the bung on the other side.
Again, I am not hating etc, sir - just asking is all!

As far as the bung that is a good observation. Luckily I have a new 02 bung I can splice if needed.

So an update:
Well I got the 6 speed tranny out finally what a pain in the ***. What should of been a simple process on popping the throw bearing off turned into a mess. I ended up trashing the wedge collar and breaking the ears of the throw-out bearing trying to get it to release. I ended up unbolting the pressure plate to release the tranny. Upon inspection my old 6 speed clutch looks cherry, zero signs of wear really.
I took my flywheel to get resurfaced on friday and I received the remainder of swap parts (new AN fittings so I can run my cooler and a few brackets and a new speed sensor)
So tomorrow time for the new clutch and tranny to go on.... :bigthumb:

Finally off.

5 vs 6 speed

Old clutch disc looks damn good IMO.

Pseudo update I always forget to take pictures.

New Clutch. To save on some money I just had the stock flywheel resurfaced.

New clutch installed

Random pic of all the OEM Mitsu crap.

Fast forward the 5 speed is in. I am 99% done with the swap. My goal is to have it driving by next weekend.

Close up of my tranny pump
