So my game plan is to have the car ready to rock for the 2012 UMS time attack series and make 90% of the AZ NASA events. As of this week I have been slowly compiling a list of items needed to get the car up to snuff. The list ranges from simple small items to some major fab work. Needless to say, I am excited to make the EVO a legitimate TA car (the car is no longer registered for the street. Why? Because race car.) I have about 90% of the money for the turbo/engine build so now it boils down to the timing the motor build. As of right now I am shooting for this winter time but for now it is game on for all the other things. On the list:
1. Full Cage built by Shaving Seconds.
2. Oil temp and EGT gauge
3. Accusump oil system
4. Bigger oil cooler
5. Hubcentric spacers
6. 2nd set of track wheels
7. Bigger radiator
8. Lexan window replacement
9. New splitter attachment and design (shaving seconds fab)
10. New bumper beam (shaving seconds fab)
11. Rebuild brakes
12. New rear rotors
Motor
1. Turbo
2. Injectors
3. Cams & valve springs
4. Turbo manifold
5. Fuel pump
6. Intake
7. Intercooler
8. Tune (e85)

How car is currently sitting....Dirty with Red Bull all over it....

Made a bracket to hold to new timer

Tranny switch button detail

Made an extended shift lever and added shifter base bushings

new gauges. Defi oil temp and EGT gauge.
Parts currently on order:
Enkei RPf1's. Matte Black 18x9.5 +15

Also ordered a Koyo Aluminum Rad w/ koyo cap.

Sick build!!!
How are to liking the Exedy Stage 1 HD? The more you can describe it the better. I know you plan on upgrading to a BBK Full, but what kind of power has the car been making?
I need a new clutch, and I'm very much considering Exedy. I've felt my friends Stage 2 HD, and it's stiff! A little too stiff for me, especially for daily driving. The Stage 1 HD might be the ticket.
Are there any torque capacity specs on the stage 1 HD?
Thanks, loco!!!

Some updates, I started ordering parts

Koyo dropped in with ease.

Samcos

Great more gauges to pay attention too.

Ordered some more part this week. GSC S2 274 cams and GSC Beehive duals with Ti retainers. These cams have been on backorder for several months. I am on the list to receive a batch soon (fingers crossed).

I messed around with the idea of piecing and intake together and I said hell with it. While I am not a huge Perrin fan they do make one of the best intake kits you can buy. They have proven themselves over and over. I wanna have Ari fab up a box to enclose the filter.

I managed to sell my old Volks last week. I got my full asking price so I was super stoked about that. With the wheel sale I was able to buy another set of Enkei RPF1's and my cams and put a few bucks in my pocket
I really wanted to order some SBC RPf1's but they are on national backorder. I dont like waiting for wheels so I ordered a set of gunmetal ones same specs as my black ones.

Messing around in my bay this week. I noticed I was missing to bolts off my turbo so I decided to pull off the manifold and check all the bolts. While it was off I decided to swap out manifolds

More bordom set in so I redid my valve color wrinkle black and installed the gold foil crap.

Intake, fuel injectors and fuel pump came in. New front mount gets here Thursday
Had a chance to install the intake and take it for a drive yesterday. One word. LOUD! I am not used to hearing the intake and bov. Everything is amplified a **** load.
