I had a chance to get the car on the dyno this friday. I headed over to ES Tuning in Tucson, AZ (I am located in Las Cruces, NM). It was good to get the car on the dyno and learn some weak points and things I need to do to the car. We were limited at 26psi max on the turbo. My tuner wasn't able to get the boost controller to go anymore (Blitz electronic boost controller, not sure what was going on with it). His tune was very conservative (this is a track only car) which I like. I am planning on racing the car at 26 psi but I def. wanna see what kinda HP the motor will make on 30+psi.

Things learned:

I need proper crankcase ventilation. A new catch can and lines are in the works.
I am ditching the Blitz boost controller and going with a manual unit.
I am gonna start saving for a bigger TB and a Sparktech unit

My Tuner (Evan Smith) is going to be coming in town in a few weeks so I am gonna try and get the issues sorted and see what the engine can do on higher boost.

Mini update: I got a catch can set up installed in the car. Re-torqued the head. EGR delete. Hood pins installed. New Hallman Pro MBC installed.

My tuner is coming in town this friday and we are going to do some fine tunning and try and turn the boost up now.

Hood Pins done

Pieced together catch can set up. Much cheaper than buying a pre made kit

Had a day off from work today so I decided to weigh and corner balance the ol girl and damn is she fat. The cage and all the aero bs I have really adds up I have some ideas of where I am going to shed weight I.E. gut the doors, lexan (have a sheet at home), revised or removed front bumper beam and a lighter front bumper set up. Although even doing all that I think the car will still weight close to 3000 lbs without me Where are you motorsport guys losing weight at?

Here are some numbers: Sway bars disconnected, Tires at 32 psi and 3/4 tank of E-85.

Total weight minus driver: 3069
Total weight w/driver: 3228

Weights:

Without driver
LF-944 RF-977
LR- 594 RR-549

With driver
LF-1021 RF-983
LR-630 RR-595

Crossweight percentages: Me in car

LF to RR- 50.0%
RF to LR-49.9%

Let me know what you all think.

Did you ever think about lighter doors? What about lexan windows? Is it legal in your class?

Here you go....

Well I had a really good weekend getting some much needed things done on the car. I got my fire suppression system mounted in its new location. I managed to get 72 pounds out of the car, I gutted all four doors and installed lexan in the rear doors. I still need to remove somethings on the car so I imagine another 15 pounds maybe.... My highlight this weekend was when my friend gave me some kevlar reinforced super bendy 3 inch helicopter tubing (military spec $$$$$). I am going to replace my old 2 inch lines with these

On to the pics:

The junk-

Gutted rear door

Lexan installed

My new door pulls

Still a pig

New badass brake tubing

Was that 29lbs per door? Do you think you couldve still cut out the door beams and left the window regulators?
