My dad finished up the solid bushings to raise the shifter housing. They came in right @ 3.5". I hacked a little off the actual shifter too, throw feels great nice and short and shifter is right where I need it. (I have another set of risers I am willing to sell if anyone is interested)

You can see the small bevel cut into the aluminum.

Mounted up and solid as hell.

Mini update: I installed a low oil pressure dummy light last night. My my defi gauge has a warning light but it is too small and not bright enough for me to see or notice racing.

Can you find the new bright red light?

My to-do list. Pretty minor non mechanical items.

Love this build - would be doing the exact same thing if I lived in a country where we could race year round. I come from the Honda world so I'm unsure if all my suggestions will be useable on the Evo chassis but most of these were done to my own car and all resulted in less weight.
If you are looking to shave some weight I have some suggestions:
- Lexan front windshield (it's a racecar - why not?)
- Lexan front door glass - you can even make it so that it rolls up and down (I know you did the rear doors but wondered why not the fronts?)
- CF or Fibre doors x 4 (you have door bars welded in may as well go with some lightweight door shells)
- Put dry-ice on the floor - proceed to chip away all the OE sound deadening material.
- Removeable exhaust - not sure if your tracks will allow this due to noise levels and if not then go for a full Titanium exhaust
- Burschur Racing makes a few lightweight components to replace factory pieces as well as AMS.
- Replace aluminum roof with a one piece carbon fiber unit
- Lightweight brakes (rotors and smaller/lighter calipers)
- Driveshaft swap - lightweight options are available
- Lightweight rims with nitrogen (nitrogen weights less than air)
- ACD delete (if not already done)
- Fiberglass race dash
- Replace engine mount bolts with Titanium (you can replace majority of the bolts in your suspension and chassis with titanium for a larger overall difference)
- Remove the sound deadening firewall pads from both sides
- Delete ABS (may not be an option due to rain racing)
- Delete OEM Brake Master Cylinder - replace with race pedal/reservior setup
- Lightweight sway bars and other suspension pieces
I hope some of this helps. I plan on having a very light EVO but plan to remain streetable so a lot of these options are not available to me.

Thanks Binky
Yesterdays test session was a complete success! I shared the entire track with 2 of my other buddies which meant a ton of track time to be had. Car ran 100% tip top with zero hiccups. I set new personal bests at the track yesterday a 1:13.8 Clockwise and a 1:13.9 Counter (pervious 1:15.2 both ways). My goal for this build was to reach 1:13's at my home track and I did that first go around, It is now time to really refine the car and learn it. Car is very easy to overdrive now with the power level IMO. One other thing I love E-85, my motor has never run that cool ever.
A little vid my buddy(drives the turbo miata) recorded of me messing around at the end of day.
