Kidloco51's Build thread. IX MR. Track Car.
Is that the Exedy STG1 HD or just the regular STG1? Curious how this clutch works out for you.
I would have been nervous seeing the car cut up. Hell I was sweating when I rolled my fenders.

The clutch is a HD unit. I am curious to see how it performs as well. I have my first track event on March 26th.

updates:

Both of my rubber whiteline boots were trashed so I replaced them.

Underside pic of the tranny all buttoned up. I had to modify one of my AN cooler lines with a new 90* elbow due to the new 5 speed fill hole.

Alot of static camber.....

Need to order some new T-bolt clamps..2 broke.

*** shot.

Put it on the scales and corner balanced the girl.

I meet my weight goal! Sub 3000 lbs with a little less than a 1/2 tank. I still have a few weight saving Ideas.

Still working on my wiring inside. I am having a few issues with my gauges.

After 3 months of sitting on jack stands I finally got to drive the girl. The new 5 speed is buttery smooth and suspension rides pretty damn nice considering the rates.
So next up: Get an alignment, finish interior, bleed brakes, re-torque everything and race!!!!!

I know all about slow processes... I used to talk to you on Cruces Streets back when I lived in NM and first started autocrossing my Evo. No build thread yet, I haven't had the time for that, let alone time and space to wrench on my own car for a long time! But I have been collecting lots of parts for awhile and building the drivetrain and suspension to handle abuse first. Your results and build have been a bit of an inspiration to me over the years though!
I was going to wait til I bought my next perporty with a garage, but I'm getting impatient and may succumb to paying a shop to do some of the work

Finally had the car on track after the winter months. She runs great with the new tranny and AST suspension.
