I really want to get some urethane ones. the only ones rally armor makes for the 8/9 are plastic though. so im thinking about getting the universal urethane ones. anyone have any tips or suggestions for mounting them? any would be great. thanks.

I picked up a set of evo specific rally armors (used), which didn't come with any mounting hardware. All you'll really need are some speed nuts (plastic, lowe's carries them)and self tapping screws. Since my wheels are fairly wide though and I didn't want to catch my tires on the screw heads, I found some hex head (m8x1.25), used a heat gun to heat up the speed nut, and then screwed the bolt through to form its own threads (all of this in a vice). Then you can just transfer everything over to the car, you'll need 6 speed nuts and bolts for the front (both sides), 2 more speed nuts and bolts for the rear, and two normal self tapping screws for the rear as they have to go through the little plastic "nuts" in the body.

Also, you may need some spacers for the rear self tapping screws that go in the body, as they are recessed in comparison to the one in the wheel well. I made mine from from plastic tubing and just cut the tip at an angle.

I have some rally armor mud flaps as well. everytime i post a pic it comes out huge so ill spare the eye sore. But i love the way they keep the body clean from debris, and also how it squares off the back end. Oh it also hides my small 235 tire.
