Bad news! Went on a 400 mile cruise through Black Hills National Forest. Drove hard all day, and had to show a friend (several times) that a C6Z will get pulled on a roll every time by a 4-cylinder Sedan. One of the final runs I missed 4th gear, pulled way too hard and got locked out of 3 & 4! Currently weighing my options on who to have rebuild it.

In the meantime I still have 1,2,5,R so why not get some pictures? haha!

Very clean and nice build sir! All parts and modes I have or would do on my personal Evo 8 as well

Unfortunate to hear about the trans though My Roommate is currently getting ready to have his sent off to get done as well. Any other plans for car down the road and what were your E85 power numbers and boost level? I don't recall seeing the E85 number posted anywhere in your thread, but I could have missed it.

Keep up the good work on a clean setup

Did you hit up Needles Highway or Iron Mountain Road by chance?

I am planning on running E85 on my Evo 8 that I am building and hoping for similar numbers. Shooting for over 400whp on 91 pump and over 500whp on E85.

On the Trans Rebuild I hear a lot of good things form Jacks and they are close to our area to save on shipping cost. Lots of my friends have been using them for their trans, diffs and transfer cases Good luck with whoever you go with though.

Indeed! Spent the entire day covering as much area as possible. You in Rapid/Spear area?

Thanks! 500 has been a goal of mine for a while. It seems to be a happy medium between reliability and insanity.

You'll have to let me know if you have a meet. I like to drive through Estes, but with the floods and tons of police it makes it difficult to have fun here.

I use jacks transmissions for mine. He has my Evo trans and t case right now and upgrading to the limited slip. I have used him for dsm transmissions before and always very satisfied.

I spent 26 days straight reading reviews of all the Evolution specific transmission shops, and all seemed to have the same ratio of good/bad reviews.

I emailed them all, and Shep Trans had the best reply, so I chose them (CS matters to me!)

Here is the Trans and T-case outgoing-

I don't think I would have done this job without the proper tools- A MaxJax by Danmar being the most important one-

While waiting for the drivetrain to be refreshed, I thought I'd better order a new clutch. I chose the Competition Clutch Stage 2 with 3,000lb PP and un-sprung hub to hopefully help me not miss another gear and crunch some more metal.

The old clutch on the right is the ClutchMasters Stage 3 Kevlar I pictured years ago. It has close to 30 launches on it, and still has a bunch of life.
