And this is why I drive an Evo! Good work moving to the left. Whether he was going a little faster than traffic (who doesnt in their evo), the fact is that this car can get you out of sticky situations when you need it most. Now go buy some snowtires lol

Glad you got out of that sitch without anything too bad.
I wonder how much longer everyone decided to stick around and act like bowling pins before they wised up and got the hell outta there?

WOW!!! you are lucky and if you didnt have AWD you would probably not have been able to pull of getting all the way to the left. Good thing your ok
First thing that came to mind to be honest though is that it looked like you and everyone else was driving WAY to fast for those conditions PERIOD.
I live in FL now and thankfully i dont have to deal with that crap weather but when I lived in NJ driving like that is just asking for trouble

My understanding of black ice is the roadway is clear of snow but looks wet unknown to the drive that it is actually a thin layer of ice. Becuase the ice is so thin and you just see what looks to be wet asphalt.
I still think the driver was going to fast for the conditions.
But the move to the left was a good idea as this could have been worse.

i feel sorry for you but at the same time this totally could have been avoided. 1. passing cars in a snow storm is a bad idea. 2. was there a need to be going that fast? no. im glad your ok but in all honesty you got what you deserved.
there is a left lane for slow moving cars. you might want to stay in it next time. a few extra minutes is worth more then your life or someone else's.

Your wrong actually... left lane is for passing only...
This is often misunderstood but the left lane is not for fast moving cars. The speed limit is the speed limit no matter what lane you are in. The left lane is used to pass, not speed.
To the OP, glad you are fine and dandy my friend. I cried when I crashed my evo.
