OF COURSE! with the full dry carbon body and 550+hp its definately a necessary item.

yeah true...but the altezza was a 1 time run only car. they put so much money into it so now its just a show/demo car.

also the Track Attack Altezza was built with more than just HKS Catalogued parts especially the chassis which was completely re-worked. This Evo8 is more watered down.

but considering the fact that your car lost most of its weight from the carbon fiber body, getting lipo and having an over dose on HP producing mods that wing is definately necessary to have there.


you think they'll dub this the "TRACK ATTACK EVO" ????

 

The Evo VIII may be watered down but look at that engine bay. That is not simply off the shelf plumbing. I mean come on, they rerouted the radiator! I think they'll give the Evo track attack status if they actually try and beat some records with it like they did the Altezza.

No wonder their prices are so high. They need to fund these crazy track cars Sweet ride btw, wonder what it weighs compared to a stock evo

 

That might as well be a fabricated from scratch car. WHy bother trying to make it look like an Evo at all? Just stick an Lancer emblem on the back and call it one...

What does it weight in at anyways?

 

OK i've done some researching...

1. The car has made some runs already its on the HKS website they posted its fastest times but i cant translate it...im not that fluent in the language...even worse at reading.

2. Interestingly enough HKS does plan to have a street kit for the Evo8 sometime in the near future...would it have flares? I dont know...but that front lip is already on one of the HKS sponsored evo's here in the US.

3. Weight is unknown as of right now...i've found some sites that have a few write ups on the car but i've just glanced at them. i'll have to read them thoroughly and see if there is any info.

4. Options Video was at one of the track tests so it will most likely get its own volume just like the HKS Track Attack Altezza did.
