Alternative to Front Plate?
^^^I have mine zip tied to the same mesh in a similar fashion but without a bracket just the license plate.
Can we get a ticket for folding the license plate? Technically we arent cutting it, just folding the top and bottom portion so that only the numbers show.. Besides for the front only the numbers are important, we (Illinois) dont have plate stickers in the front.

i had folded mine on my previous car after getting pulled over for not having one. i asked the officer that pulled me over if its ok. he said technically you are not suppose to modify the license plate in any way shape or form, BUT... rather have one thats folded than to not have one. i still got the no plate citation, 15 dollar charge.
here it is folded top and bottom to fit on jdm front bumper.

Kapex - That's a great idea IMO, and it does look good too. Our cars look almost identical, except u've got a lot more lowsssss. You should definitely do a write up in the DIY section because i think i"m going to try out your method 1st to see how i like it. Thanks for your help buddy!
And thanks to everyone else who chimed in
Id look into the UK/Aussie OEM long euro plate holder right below the headlight and run an ebay euro plate and the US plate over it....allows airflow into the cooler raises it up using OEM bracket

Took me a while to figure this out, as I was in the same situation. I bought this bracket from Autozone
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...questid=153880 ,
a bag of zip ties, and some weatherstripping:

Then I set the bracket how I wanted it while holding the license plate to it and screwed the screws tight. Then, all you have to do is hold it in place on the mesh on the driver side of the car and zip tie it to the mesh. I recommend zip tying the ends first to hold it in place, and then adding a bunch of zip ties in the middle, I used like 10 just to be safe. Then, I taped the weatherstripping to the back of the plate so it wouldn't scratch the paint if it contacted, and to give it something additional to rest on when pushed back by wind at highway speeds. If you do it carefully, it fits in that spot perfectly and looks really clean. And no holes! Let me know if you need some pics, but its pretty self explanatory once you have the bracket. I should probably do a writeup on this with pics sometime. I've had this setup for a couple months, it's super secure and won't budge an inch.

You're welcome guys, I'll do the writeup sometime soon. By the way, one thing I forgot is that you have to bend the tips of the zip ties so you can hook them behind the mesh and back out again to wrap around the back of the bracket.
importmachine - glad to help. I've got too much low right now lol, gotta get rid of these dumb swift springs.
