ROTA GRID 17x9+25!!!!!

Hello!!!!

I just received my wheels in the mail today. I purchased the Yamaha Black Rota Grids in 17x9 +25 from LSD Motorsports on Ebay for 769.99 Shipped!!! Service was great. I also had purchased some 255/40/17 Star Specs.

Monday I have an appointment at Turn in Concepts in Fairfield, Ohio for fender rolling, alignment and corner balancing.

And now for the pics. I will have installed pictures as soon as I can. So hear is a little teaser for now. Please forgive the cell phone pics........

More pics to come........

I have high hopes for them. I have heard a lot of great things about them. I had some Re01r's on a previous evo that I thought were fantastic and I hear these are even better than those. Pumped would be an understatement............

Nice Bro.

Bought wheels from LSD & picked them up local. One was damaged so I only picked up the 3. Waited over 2 weeks & numerous phone calls to get another one shipped from ROTA. LSD did a poor job about the re-order but they made it clear that ROTA customer service stinks & are hard to deal with

Post up some embedded pics mounted on the EVO

here is a reference for the before wheels Evo.........I know the pictures may not be great but for a cell phone its not to shabby. This is my evo as it currently sits before wheels. I think the wheels will really bring out the tinted windows as well as the black vortex generator that I have to go on. I also plan to black out all the emblems and headlights in the near future....

Nate at LSD was pretty helpful. I saw the ad for the wheels on ebay and called and ordered direct from them. I only have one complaint and that is the delay in shipment. I ordered on a Thursday and was told the wheels would ship on Friday. They did not. I was concerned that my tracking number did not show the package moving. I called on Monday and was told that they had one of the wrong offset. I guess the only thing I was kinda upset about is that they did not call and tell me. It leaves a funny taste in my mouth because I feel like they just told me that to make me feel better. If it was the case I am glad they caught it before I received the wrong wheels all the way across the country but I just dont feel this was the case.

But for the price I dont feel like I have a lot to complain about.

From my research on the forums they would potentially fit with out rolling with a smaller tire. However, I went with the 255's. I believe that the rears will need to be rolled to some extent. Maybe some others can chime in on this. If not we will just have to wait till Monday.......

so did you have to roll them? how far are you lowered? i have the same black rota grids 17x9 and i currently have 225x45's on them. they are stretched pretty far n look kinda cool but im ready to put the right size tires on. i am lowered 1.2" in the front and .3" in the rear. i currently rub in the rear if i take a corner really hard but dont have any issues most of the time. i cant decide what size to go with. 245x40 or 255x40?? i know i will have to get the rears rolled either way but i dont want to have to stretch them too. i guess my basic question is, is there anyone out there running some 17x9's lowered .3" in the rear that can chime in on this?? ive done a bunch of research but am finding it hard to find guys with a similar set up. most people who run grids go 18.

Bringing back a two year old thread. You probably need to give your camber adjustment too to accurately be able to tell if you'll be able to fit wider tires in the rear. Cause you can go more negative camber to fit to a point. I'm sure if you search also, you can find the answer. These wheels are pretty popular and you should be able to find someone with the same set-up.
