What glue to re-attach IX front lip mount tabs?

On my OEM IX front lip a few of the mounting tabs that the screws go into snapped off. Not a single plastic piece broken into two, but looks like it's an actual separate piece from the lip that Mitsubishi somehow attached to the bumper. I'm sure some how you know what I mean. I tried using cement for plastic plumbing pipes and that worked for a day until it just peeled off the lip in a sheet again leaving me back at square one.

Anyone have any ideas? This is my fourth OEM lip and I don't want to wate more money on them.

Same thing Happened to mine. I used a 2 part plastic epoxy that you can get from any home improvement store. Rough the surfaces up with some 36grit sandpaper too. Just helps the bonding.

If you can get your hands on it, try Henkel Hysol 9309.
That stuff is strong, and also hard to get.
If you or you know someone that works in aircraft, that's where you can get it.

I tried epoxy on the tabs you speak of, because I hit a stupid raccoon 2 weeks after getting a brand new 9 bumper with se lip.

I dont know how to get those tabs back on there, because my epoxy job broke as soon as I tightened the screws down.

Next time try to roughen up the surfaces you are using the epoxy on. It helps the epoxy "bite" into the plastic. Its worked for me for the last 4 months so far.

How long did you let it cure before you bolted it back on?

Awesome thanks for the replies guys. At the time I didn't have any sandpaper, rubbing alcohol etc, or garage and was in a hurry so I guess I'll try it again now that I have all those. Except now my toolbox with the busted off tab in it got stolen

Hey man I just installed a carbon fiber lip on my IX and have my OEM lip sitting in my garage. If it's any help I can give it to you if you want since it's just taking up space in my garage.....

Can the brackets be bought separately? I can't find them online anywhere. I have the same issue, 03 Evo 8. Thanks!
