I went with the wing look an I love it so far. I think the wing makes the car. Just no want to trade my evo9 wing for a Evo 8 wing cuz it has the carbon sides

I personally kept my wing and want to go the Varis Euro wing route soon. However, I have seen a LOT of wingless Evos that look straight up sik. And then there is the whole do-luck compromise. I think it is more of the overall car as a package, with the wing being a tiny detail. I've seen some wingless that look plain and boring, and then I've seen some wingless that make me want to take my wing off immediately lol

That's not a good analogy, since the wing is just one component of many, though obviously it's the most noticeable to the average person, especially from a distance.

So let's flip it, if you put a wing on a regular Lancer, does it suddenly look as awesome as a stock Evo?

 

No, I'm not saying that. Like I said in my post, Ivr seen some badass wingless Evos. I'm talking about the people I hear who say "I want it to look like a regular lancer so it doesn't get messed with by cops or people". To me, that's dumb. And my analogy holds, in that case, I think. Make my wife never wear makeup and look plain so that other people don't mess with her, as long as she is a good housekeeper and good in bed (performance and engine). Lolol

 

Oh, okay. I guess I misunderstood a little bit. But I don't think people are de-winging it for the purpose of actually looking like a regular Lancer as much as it making the car stand out far less. I don't think that's unreasonable.

 

The wing makes it look like a boy racers car. Wingless looks more serious and mean.
