UPDATE!! 4/22/13

Went pretty good yesterday. With only having a few bolt ons and a tune I was very happy with the outcome. Track conditions werent the greatest though. 20+mph headwind and the temp in the low 50s. Track prep wasn't the greatest but oh well.

I left the car the same exact way I drive it on the street. My best pass was 12.11@111 mph. Best 60ft was 1.81 on my street tires spinning all over the place. I even went down to bringing the tires to 16PSI in the rear and that didnt even do anything lol. Overall I was very happy with how the car performed. For only having 3 bolt ons and a tune I think it was very good time. I made about 6 passes all from 12.11-12.3 so I was very consistent.

I think I can go 11s as the car sits right now, but I think I will need better track conditions to do so. I might go back soon to try but we will see. I made a new thread in the drag racing section, but here's the timeslip along with a couple pics from the track. Big thanks to Boostin Performance for coming out to help and support me. Also big thanks for my friends who came out as well. Kristin @ Boostin has a couple videos, and I have some GoPro videos I will post ASAP as well

^Thanks Kristin for uploading the video!

I don't know if we have the 12.11 video on pass, but this video is my 12.19@112mph pass. I will upload some GoPro videos I have in car for everyone soon!

Great times for such minor mods. Are you running spacers in the front? What size 20mm? Are they the built in studs or are you running ARP ext studs?

Thank you! I am running a 20mm spacer up front. They are the Ichiba front Bolt in wheel spacers. In the rear, I am running about a 8mm spacer, but at times I get a little rubbing. I plan to switch to a 5mm in the rear some day soon.

Love the car man, very similar to mine. Question for you I too have a 9rs with a quarter master twin street and I know exactly what your talking about with the mounts you can feel the whole drive train moving around like crazy. I don't want my car to be to violent and have excessive vibration a little I can handle but its a street car. With my drive train moving around as much as it is and the longer evo 8 3-4th gear do you think that could cause so much torque/twisting/movement that its giving me a hard time flat foot shifting 4th gear? I have absolutely no other symptoms of any at all transmission issues grinds ect I'm really hoping mounts will fix this issue its driving me crazy. Which mounts did you wind up going with??

I went with the Energy solution mounts for the rear diff bushings and the mustache bar bushings. I bought the kit from ES but I haven't put the mustache bar bushings in yet. I'm going to wait a little bit to do that. They are the poly ones. The rear diff bushings dont really rattle at all on decel. I remember when I had the solid ones and they were so loud lol. I recommend them for sure

Have you recently had a hard time flat foot shifting? Sometimes I NLT shift the car doing pulls on the street and never had a problem. I haven't done it in awhile since my trans has 90K miles on it and it's not always a good thing to do lol.

Yeah I actually have diff and mustache bar bushings already, sorry I didn't clarify I feel like my stock motor and trans mounts can't handle how aggressive the clutch is and it's moving a bit under the TQ and so much in the higher gears maybe giving me problems going from 3-4. I try not to NLTS on the street to much but my cars more of a weekend warrior and really only sees a couple thousend miles a year anyways. Just trying to get it ready for the track it does make a little bit more then your setup I trapped 124 being easy on it last year. I had an ATC that was locking me out of almost every gear and was hoping the QM would fix that but still have an issue getting into 4th. I think these stock motor and trans mounts need to be replaced reguardless I can feel my motor moving from a hard exelaration to deseleration. I'm just am iffy about aftermarket mounts transferring all that shock down to the drivetrain.

I have the front motor mount which I have the AMS one. I never really had any problems with lock out issues in the QM. I think it happened to me one of the times I tried to NLT shift, but mostly i've had good luck. I just stay away from that since my trans has 90k miles. Getting the bushings in these cars, helps out a lot especially with the QM clutch. ACT clutches I've heard has the high RPM lockout as well. That why I decided to go with the twin disk and throw the QM in the car. 124 is a really solid trap, that is good for some very low even high 10 second passes. I recommend to get the front motor mount and you will see a difference.
