eBay Vortex Generator Question

Hey everyone, tried to do some searching, but couldn't really find an answer to my question.

Is it recommended to paint the PU eBay Vortex Generators or is it ok to leave unpainted?

I want to keep mine black (silver car with black accents), but not sure if the VG will fade over time if left unpainted or if it should be ok as-is and just "bolt" it up.

If it's recommended to be painted, what is the best way to prep and what primer/paint/CC is recommended?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Ive got one from Bayson R Motorsports who sells on EBAY

Been unpainted for 4 years & seen speeds above 140mph. Garage car though. Keep it waxed at all times

Still looks good

Mine was unpainted. And currently faded to h3ll(think of it like a faded bumper drying off after a car wash), I will prob. plasti-dip mine black until I get a new one-they go for like 25-45 bucks(very cheap).

Yes, The VG I got from BaysonR is a non painted gloss black piece. Takes wax just like paint does.
Like I said, my car is garaged 24/7 but has seen the light of day here in the hot & sunny south LOL

Heres a 3 year old pic. You cant go wrong, buy it & install it. Make sure you prep the roof surface before applying

The one I bought is just bare black plastic, don't think it's glossy. Or is that what you had also?

Well I got my VG from eBay in the mail today, not PU like I thought it was haha. Oh well, it's a harder plastic and looks like it will fit up great. I will be installing this tonight after I am off work. Will post up results after.

I would stay away from eBay generators, bought mines and it was not an oem fit.

Put the ebay one on Friday last week, seems like it was a bad mold or something. Fitment was close, but would not sit flat. Had to modify it to make it work. I will be emailing the seller and seeing what can be done.
