I got my parts from my friend Russell at MitsubishiParts.net last night. Also wanted to say congrats to Russell on the birth of his new son!





Heater hoses (I believe one of mine is leaking)
Steering column cover (to remove the gauges currently located there)
Center trim bezel (to have my gauges molded into)
Radio cubby relocation
HVAC Labels for center trim bezel
MR shifter trim panel (Mine was painted black when I got the car and it bothered me)
JDM MR badge for shifter trim (ricer once again)
MR shift boot (backordered until next week)

The interior should be back to factory condition after I install these items. I'm just waiting on my ash tray, and then I will more or less have everything I need. I held onto some items from my 240 to use in the Evo: Defi Advance CR gauges, Takata harness, and a Broadway mirror. The mirror probably seems kind of lame, but I have had it in every car I have ever owned, so I'm just used to the view with it now. I won't use the harness unless I install an aftermarket seat at some point.



I'm really excited about having my friend Toby Broadfield mold the gauges for me. Here's an example of some of his work with 240SX interiors:



I'm hoping that after he does this for me I can bring him some more business from the Evo crowd. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

It's currently on Skunk 2 springs and stock struts. I am planning to replace them with coilovers in the spring.

Not much to report aside from removing the Mitsubisihi emblem from the trunk last night:



I'm going to spend some time on the car tonight, and either work on the interior or removing the window tint. I've got some goodies on the way, so hopefully that will keep things entertaining! Thanks for reading.

 

OK to a fellow Michigander I am gonna say this first. You have an ecu that you can change things, so get rid of that safc, secondly the car is beautiful and I am sorry to see them xxr's go but oh well. And please from one guy to another, for the love of god please don't bring the rice into this car. Anyways man you need some help with things give me a shout I can give you a hand helping plan out things.

 

If you notice, the SAFC was in one of my previous builds, a Toyota Solara. Not the evo. I'm not sure what entails "rice" these days, but I personally felt that the XXRs fell into that category. Different strokes for different folks I guess! We aren't too far from each other, so I am sure our paths will cross at some point.

 

Yeah I wasn't aware of the afc being in a different build. But yeah man I try to help the fellow locals out the best I can

 

I often get Solara interiors mixed with Evo interiors myself.
