I searched this thread and google, but anyone know whats the closest to tarmac black? I'm trying to color match my oem wheels for the winter. I did 6 coats of black (first time and the first 2 were too light) and 2 coats of glossifier, it looked great for the first couple of weeks then the gloss faded...

 

You should go to dipyourcar.com and message them. Usually respond quick and will tell you exactly what you need. They also have a new high gloss that works well

 

I did that same matte black but i put that metallizer stuff that goes over the matte black to make it look metallic.

Been a while since I've posted on here. Here's my Zombie Midnight flip that I finally finished a few weeks ago. It looks a lot different in the shade and on rainy days. There's a lot more blue to it when it's overcast.

 

Hmmm gonna have to look into this. Seems like a viable cost effective option.

Thanks. Wheels are bbs reps, think JNC wheels 18x8.5. Just needed spacers to fit - 20mm front, 10mm rear. Just recently redipped car, have stock wheels on for now, waiting to get a chance to dip the wheels.

 

 

I just finished doing my Tarmac EVO's in matt black (from white). I'm really digging the look.

 

So many plastic dippers! Is it really that easy to dip your own car?
