Brake Dust remover

Hawk track pads kept me alive when needed but left my wheels scared for life. Looks like gravel stock to my wheels, have used pretty much everything I can find on autozone that says brake dust remover with no luck, specially in the corners. Recently a friend suggested paint thinner, I have the OEM evo IX Enkei wheels. I can see other people having my same issue...maybe someone came across the solution? Ideas are welcome.

Normally track pads like that will ruin the finish on the wheel even if you do get it off, detailing section is where you want to ask this question.

I found using a claybar helps remove built up brake dust well, and far less harmful to your wheels than brake dust removers.

Another thing you can do is to make sure your track wheels have wax on them prior to the track day. That way it should be easier to get it off afterwards. Doesn't really help with the stuff that's stuck on there now though.

Soap and water. Then finish off the wheels with Windex. I have black wheels and trust me works better than any cleaners

Clean them really good and spray them with a clear coat of paint and the dust should come off fairly easy. I've seen Cali ppl do that

This, kinda. Clean them completely & put some Opti-Coat on them. Maybe do a test spot first depending on your wheels finish. I did it to my flat black RE-30's when I first got them and can still rinse the brake dust off. If I let the brake dust sit for too long they do require a normal cleaning but the OC makes it easier. I hate cleaning RE-30s...
