Hehe, that's your own car

 

I dunno, for some reason I like it more without the wing.

 

I like the EVO with a wing but car looks alright without one, too.

 

Well let's see! I walk out to my car this afternoon and didn't really notice anytthing wrong right away cause I'm just kinda not fully to my senses yet. I get down the street and stop to fill up and after I pop the fuel lid I walk up and looked up and my f*cking wing has been ripped from the car. I didn't even start putting gas in the car. I went back to my place and went to see if the wing was on the ground near where I had been parked. I was hoping maybe some kids were being kids and damaged it but there was no broken off wing to be found.

They f*cking tore the main part away and the base that would be mounted to the car is still there. The trunk lid is damaged too. The trunk lid is actually a little bent near the mounts and I cannot open the trunk even though it is partially cracked open. I've called the police and I have to wait for them to find time to come over and do their thing and I have already called my insurance company and I have to take it to their designated estimate place since I want to take it to a dealership so if they need to paint or replace parts it's as close to an exact match as possible. I'm also seriously thinking about getting the small spoiler if the carbon fiber wing attracts this kind of attention.

I'm mad as sh*t right now!

 

ack. Insurance claim, definitely. You don't want to have to pay for that wing yourself, trust me.

 

tell you what though, that wing will stand out like a sore thumb ojn another car

 

Keep an eye on ebay too, they may try to sell it.

At least they didn't key your car, that seems to be a reoccuring thing.

yeah theives suck. ive had my stereo stolen twice and the second time they took all my subs and amps and my cds and my old skool shell tops but they suck even more when they steal your car and strip it. my friend had a civic and they stole it and stripped it of his aftermarkets. and im sure a few weeks later those dudes were at the local cruising spot showing off their "hard earned" gear i really hate that when you steal someones hard worked for stuff then show it off like it took you months to get!

 

yea my dad backed min into a tree breaking the wing in half , its like having some one taker ur arm, i just dont think and evo is a evo without the wing

 

that really sucks man. i cant believe they would actually try to rip off the wing (literally) .. I've seen metal wings unbolted before .. but not ripped off like that. Have you made any ememies lately?

Hate to say it, but you should post a pic of the damage on the trunk. I'm curious how bad it is. I bet you are probably looking to get a new trunk w/out a wing? That may be a good idea. "Rice" does attract attention, even if its not "rice" to you ... damn fking theifs! I hate em.

on a lighter note... that sucks man, just watch for some riced out honda i always seen in NoVA with that wing on it

 

That same crap used to happen and still does happen to the Subaru owners. People were ripping wings off of the old 2.5RS cars and putting them on Civics. Its one of the reasons I'd rather not even have a damn wing again. Maybe a stock low wing like the normal Lancer.
