My vortex generator. That is the question.
Looking for some outside words of wisdom. Should I keep the vortex generator on or remove it??







What do you think? I literally took off the black dip and I don't know if I like it or not. Currently sits with a yellow roof and black vortex generator.

1. Paint it?
2. Remove it?
3. Keep it?

Without the wing it's pretty much useless. My vote is to remove it. :}

 

I vote keep it, even though none of our opinions should matter anyway. It's what you like!

I personally say remove it, especially with the carbon roof - not sure if thats wrapped or a full replacement but I think it would look cleaner removed.

 

I agree with this. I'm not sure about painting it though. If the roof is wrapped I'd maybe wrap the VG too. If you painted it yellow I think it would look out of place on a black roof. Taking it off completely would give you the cleanest look.

Edit: Have you considered a small trunk lip/spoiler?

 

Yes I have. The mines rep. Lip tickles my fancy. If I had spoiler I think I'd be happy with the vg, but it looks out of place, but at the same time I like it on there. Haha. I've had the car since June and this finally comes to mind.

Buschur did tests and made a video clip of tests done if the Vortex Generator was help full or not. And it showed that it did help with or without wing. From what I remember the test included taping string in various locations to see how the moving air was effected over the car.

Also his car does not have a spoiler ,"wing" when he drags it.

To answer the OP's question. I say keep it. I like the look of the VG. As for the color, it depends on what your theme is for the Evo. Black on Yellow looks good.

I agree, its what you like...but I would paint the roof back to stock, and get rid of the VG and paint the trunk or get a DuLuck trunk...again that's just me
