installing system... help with routing wire

hey hey

so ive got all my wiring, amp, speakers, etc for an install

im using 1/0 power from the battery back to a dist block then into a 300/4 & 500/1

the thing is, im stuck on where to route the main 1/0 power wire. theres absolutely no room in the little tube that has all the factory wiring for the door

im just stuck on this.

also, im having a tough time with my knukonceptz positive battery terminal and the rest of the factory power wire that needs to be connected.. i just cant fit it all on the new 1/0 terminal thing

if anyone has suggestions, id appreciate the help

There should be a grommet under the glove box on the passenger side. I ran the cable from the battery, across the strut bar, down into the gommet. From there, you can pull up the sill plates and run the wire under the carpet. You need to remove the two passenger side plates and the passenger side B-pillar molding to get a clean run.

It's a perfect place to run the signal and antenna wires too. The 1/0 cable is a little bigger than what I used, but it shouldn't pose a problem.

I agree with running through the firewall but be leary of running your imput/signal lines down the same channel/side of the car as your power line. A 1/0 can generate a lot of interference and cause 'humming' and other distortions in you audio output (learned the hard way)

Run a search on firewall pass through, theres a big post about it. I put a 4 gauge wire back to two amps through there. You will need something to poke it out with, it's not really that accessable. One tip if you are replacing speakers, check the forums for models which directly fit and clear the windows. I spent a lot of time making spacers to mount standard 6 1/2" speakers in front doors and rear deck.

Click for supersized pic... You may have to do some work to the gromet to make 0/1 gauge fit.

what kind of 0/1 did you get? That must be a nightmare to maneuver around the car.
