$360 for a piece of plastic? Holy crap, I'm in the wrong profession.

It's already painted. It's metallic gray in color.

Yes, it does seem to be a bit on the pricey side of things, but for $360.00 I doubt anyone will be able to make it with their own two hands. They probably won't be able to approach the quality to have it made some place else. Anyways.....I'm not trying to pick a fight. I just wanted to point out a couple things.... =)

Other people can get like $20 for a sugar pill, or a small bag of herbs and spices. =) haha....that right there, my friend, is a profession where $$ does indeed grow on trees. --or should I rather say small shrubs.

Ruins the look of the car IMO. And yeah, 360 is much, but business is business.

It looks black in the pictures. I am interested but what does it really do? Before I shell out $360.00 I need more info on it.

This is from a Mitsu. press release on the MR

"The vortex generator, an innovation in aerodynamics technology and offered as a dealer-fitted accessory, creates small vortices at the trailing end of the roof that reduce drag and increase the downforce generated by the rear-deck spoiler. The generator vanes are finished in the same dark gray as the outer panels of the spoiler."

I dont think it's bad price if you consider how much Mitsu sell them in japan. I was actually thinking about getting one while I was there. but didnt.

Cool piece, nice to know we have the option of getting it if we wanted.

I guess the $360 question is, whether or not you can feel a difference with this thing on, and at what speeds?

If I remember, they used some kind of glue. A guy on another board took the MR for a test drive, and the vortex generator flew off, hit the rear spoiler, and shattered into a billion pieces. Yikes.

Hopefully they can use something a little stronger. But I wonder, how will this affect the paint where the vortex generator is attached?

I'm guessing water will be trapped underneath and your paint will slowly rot.
