+1 on Conti DWS if you think you'll see snow but dont want snow tires. Though your location says New Orleans, dont think you see much snow there?

In my opinion there is no really good all season tire, way better get a set of summer and a separate set of winter tires.

Not all places get snow in the winter, or have a super hot summer. All seasons have their place. And modern all seasons do a very good job at what they're designed to do.

Some people have no interest in dealing with multiple sets of tires.

I have the Potenza RE970AS right now on the VIII and love them. 1st time I'm back on AS on that car since for years I had separate summer/winter tires.

Since you're living in New Orleans I'm kinda wondering about your need for all season tires. Do you venture North during winter? On the other hand, I just removed the OEM tire and installed snow tires and notice no difference in handling. I find this amazing. The last set of snow tires I owned turned the car into a school bus. Are the same improvements happening to all season tires? I always think of them as Sam's Club specials.

Yes, the ultra high-performance class of all season tires are really good. Obviously not a summer tire, but they certainly don't turn the car into a dump truck.
