Needing new tires soon..

So my advans are finally getting worn down pretty good..

I figured this out yesterday when a turn I usually take doing about 60ish on the way home from work almost took me into a nice concrete wall.. I mean I still got traction but I guess I "drifted" a bit more than usual.

anyways, can anyone recommend a good tire that compares to the advans? I dont track the car or anything, this is just a daily driver but I dont want salvation army rubber.

Does anyone know how much the advan tires that come stock usually cost?

thanks for the recommendations.

Any other ideas? I'd like to spend between $100-$200 per tire.

I'm looking at tirerack.com, the Yokohama AVS ES100 seemed to be priced fairly. Can anyone comment on these?

honestly, I just bought the BFG g-force TA KDW for 144 each. Seem just fine to me. Its my daily driver too and I push the car around enough to justify needing a good tire. But for the price....The KDW is a wet/dry tire as well, not a true dry tire only. The KD is but costs just a bit more....

The Kumho MX is a great dry performer for that price range. Run them on my G35 and was really surprised at what they gave back. ES100 would give a little more life and ride but not as good dry traction. A good tire, just in a differ way. Not sure where your at but those are all summer tires. Make sure your not driving in temps below 35 deg with them or you and that wall may become best friends

i have the Toyo T1S's and i am happy with them....but honestly...i don't think there is a tire that you can put on your evo that are better than the stock advans. unless you're going with a competition tire which will last about 8,000 miles

Yeah I've used Proxes T1S in a few cars, and they work alright - very good in the rain, so-so in the dry...

As others have mentioned, it seems like to match the grip that the stock Advans have, you really need to put the same thing back on.

I was wondering if anybody here has had any experience w/ the Bridgestone S03s. I live in the northwest where we see a lot of wet weather, and I was consdering trying Toyos's new T1R tire (like an upgrade to the T1S I am guessing) or maybe going with the Bridgestone S03s. If anyone has any firsthand experience and could post about it, that'd be awesome.

The neova is good.

the A046 is 244 a piece now, and who knows how much tirerack will increase the price to.

It's almost time for me, too. I'm considering the Avon Tech M500. I don't see the Advan Neova on tirerack.com for the stock wheels.
