I hate to resurrect an old thread...but I do need info.

I tore a dust boot when cleaning up my calipers. The dust boots refuse to come out. Problem is....even to replace the piston seals for the calipers requires the dust boot to be destroyed. So, how in the hell do I get the dust boots out. I found no write ups so far.

BTW, I am making my own custom BBK with the use of these calipers so I dont know mitsubishi stuff too well. Info would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

1. Boot in groove on piston
2. Boot in groove in piston bore
3. Insert piston lubricated with brake fluid in bore
