Figured it's time I share this stuff openly.

First up is the ATSG Technician Guide for the SST (DCT470). This contains TONS of very technical information such as solenoid functions, wiring diagrams, valve body mappings, etc. The SST stuff starts on page 45.

Next is rebuild kits and replacement parts for the transmission from Precision International. Not sure how good or bad their friction discs and other parts are, or if they may even be OEM, but they have them.

And last is this, which I think is a diagram of the SST I received from a mitsubishi oem parts supplier. I have ordered some parts to test the legitimacy of the information before sharing the part numbers openly.

 

Um kind of confused. Their parts only fit 09+ evos and 11+ ralliart or are they just idiots and have no idea what year or model names the trans came in?

 

The second is more likely.

 

I can't possibly trust a company which can't take 10 mins to research what model and years the transmission they are making Chinese parts for came in.

 

These aren't performance parts, and aren't directed at the public. These are kits for local transmission shops to be able to rebuild the the thing. Those shops don't look things up by car make model year, they look it up by transmission part number. An Precision International provided s LOT of kits for a LOT of cars. This is all they do.

Yeah! I'd love to know pricing, and if you can get it out of them, how much harder/softer, etc their discs are than OEM, as well as who actually manufactures them if they don't.

Considering the parts are listed in their parts catalog by the transmission part number AND the makes and models this transmission is used in, I don't think you have anything to worry about there. Their filters, seals, and gaskets are extremely high quality, and some of the parts that they carry are not obtainable from any other source.

 

I'd be interested in taking a peek at these files, but can't get it to download. Anyone willing to e-mail the pdf to me? It'd be much appreciated!!

Do you guys also service the TC-SST in house here in Houston?
Or do you just sell the parts?

I have been keeping up with the TX mile Evo MR, Kozmic etc. and once I take the plunge I would love to have you guys do all the work on my 2012 MR.

Transwork will not be for a long time - taking it slow - but it would be nice to know there is another shop, besides dealer, local to me in case something goes down after or outside of warranty.

 

Yes, we do full service and overhauls on the transmissions here, and just about anything else you could possibly need for your Evo.

 

When I click the filedropper link from OP, it just takes me to the filedropper home page. Any way to get at that technical info on the TC-SST? I like reading info like that.
