Does this happen to anyone else after stoping at a light?

Ok so sometimes but not very often when I stop at a light and then hit the gas to go in normal auto mode it'll rev up to 3k without moving and then it'll engage and go. Usually when I notice it I immediately let off the gas and when it drops back to idle level I hit the gas and it works fine.

My question is does this mean 1st is slipping when it happens or is something else going on. It doesn't happen very often and I think the times it has maybe I hit the gas too hard.

Any input would be appreciated.

My MR has never done this. Based on your statement "I stop at a light and then hit the gas to go in normal auto mode" it sounds like you might be shifting in to neutral at the light and then putting it back in drive? If so, that's probably your problem. If your not changing modes etc... While stopped at the light then I would have the car checked out.

If you're revving up while in gear and not holding the brake, either your clutches are slipping or your CANBUS isn't sending the signal your brake is off quick enough.

What kind of status is the car in? In warranty? no mods? If so, I'd take it in

I know if I sit at a stoplight where it's barely uphill such that I can hit neither brake nor gas and sit still, it sometimes revs a bit before engaging.

No, but my RPMs do hang a bit. When I go WOT, then let off the gas, even after the boost recirculates and the rest blows off the car will rev the RPMs up for about 2 seconds. I'm guessing its something the car does to keep the car's RPMs up in case you need to get back into the throttle after letting off the gas and thus your RPMs are already built up and so is your boost. My guess is it's some sort of built-in anti-lag feature without having all the risk of an anti-lag system. It's just kind of weird for me because mine does it even after the boost is recirculated and the rest blown off, so it's not like it's keeping all of your boost there. And it does it even when I'm not in Sport or S-Sport, it'll keep those RPMs revved up for a few seconds after I let off the gas in normal mode. So I dunno really.

But I have had my SST stall on me when I went to take off at a red light like it's a standard gated manual.

Go figure.
