Brake Pad Help

I need to get new pads very soon, like this week, and i have been doing searches and i keep finding pads that sound good and then you hear people complain about those pads saying the sqeek like crazy...i just some some pads that won't sqeek and stop me as well as the o.e. pads but not such a wallet buster as the stock ones. Can some please help me?

These are the pads you should look at:
1. Ferodo DS2500 (most expensive)
2. Porterfield R4S (less expensive)
3. Hawk HPS
4. Carbotech Bobcats

People that report squeeling don't reinstall their shims and don't bed in their pads after installation. Do those and you won't have any problems. I installed the Ferodo DS2500s after my stocker wore out and I don't have any squeeling issues.

I went the Bobcat route. So far so good. Like the man says, reinstall the shims, apply the antiseize and bed them in. I haven't had any issues. I only have a hundred miles on them, but I think I should be ok, since I did the above.

You'll notice the stock pads have the antiseize on them, too. Make sure you clean everything and reapply.

Slap em on, bed em in and you're good to go ... rotors don't really get warped:

well they shake if you brake to hard to often. which makes braking suck once the damage is done.

what ever stoptech calls this, warped or not, it happens.

and get them resurfaced if they are warped. if not, just install and go with proper break in =)
