squeeking brakes

does anyone have this problem as well?? how can i get rid of it???

i hear this nasty metal sqeek brake sound wehn im reversing my car and applying the brakes....


but the sound is not there when im driving forward and applying the brakes...

any suggestions to this???

btw my car only has like 18k kms...

It's normal, especially if you store your car outside overnight. A thin layer of rust developes on the rotors, and for some reason, it's more noisy when backing up until the brakes wear that layer off.

I had the same problem...
I replaced the stock pads and no more squeak.

I have that problem. I also notice the brakes are a lot more touchy when they are cold from overnight. It's below -20 these days, so

Yeah I definitely have this problem... it's sort of embarassing when the neighbor drives by in his vette. Good idea, Myszkewicz.

Well its almost summer and somewhat warm where I am in Australia and that happens to me even now. Its no biggy, although it only takes a few hours for the rust to form - it dissapears pretty quickly.

I'd recomend switching out the pads and using the brake quiet lube stuff. Most likely will work.
