Team Dynamics (FQ) wheels

Just wondering if anybody's had any problem with these wheels? Seems very good value and look great. I mean, they fit them to the FQ so it can't be that bad... wondering why they're not more popular...

So, do they bend easily or something?

Well, they're not 'unpopular' or 'not popular' as such and I never did say they were. What I meant was that I feel they should be more popular than they seem to be. All the threads I can find seem to be people trying to sell them or something. Ceartainly I've seem more volks around even though they are a lot more expensive and certainly more rota's around eventhough they are pretty much the same price approximately.

They are fine.Typical Cast (factory type Wheel) wheel just not forged like VOLKS etc.

I love em but just the BLK on my white car is a little too much contrast for me! IF I had GG or RED I'd rock them till my car DIED.

You can't feel the weight diff on the street so to som its not that big a deal.

+ No one is Selling the REAL FQ wheels.NO ONE even has them....yet......Mine are the only GLoss ones that I've seen and No one seemed to want them but they are Pending sale now FInally.only diff is mine you cant use stock lugs w/ like the $1300 real ones.

they are very nice rims, just not sold in every tuner shop in the U.S. This makes them more rare which is a good thing. Anything that is on the FQ is good enough for me =)

hold on a minute.. what about these babies: http://www.frisbyracetire.com/pro_race_1.htm
are they not _real_ either? When you mean stock lugs, are you talking about the nuts or do you have to change the bolts on the hub??

thing is, they're quite cheap and I'm getting bored with my volks. Thinking of these at the moment:

but they're expensive and I'm planning two holidays this year!!

I like the way they look. But it was also my understanding that they aren't the "real" FQ400 wheels. I'm not sure if you can even get those here.

The Team Dynamics are a good value. The downside is they they don't make them in wide sizes (like 9.5 or 10 inch)

I've had the TDR Pro Race 1's for nearly 2 years. They've held up great. You need to use acorn style lugnuts. Except for the center caps, I think they're identical to the FQ400 wheels. Got them from Frisby Race Tire for less than $200 per wheel.

The FQ400 uses the TDR PRo Race 1's...those are the NEW Pro Race 1.2's or something like that.Nothing like the FQ ones though alot of people in the UK run those ^ wheels.

The OEM FQ wheels can use the OEM "round" lugs.the CHeaper (same thing except not gloss blk color) TDR Pro Race ones need \_/ lugs (ie,VOLK,Aftermarket wheel lugs).Mitsu/UK I guess made it use OEM lugs.

No one as of yet has recieved thier $1300 REAL FQ400
wheels from...but they have been "on the way" since Early December.

Except for the center caps, I think they're identical to the FQ400 wheels. Got them from Frisby Race Tire for less than $200 per wheel
Thats what I didn't like about the Regular TDR caps, how they are white in the middle of the cap...mine were sprayed gloss Blk to match and a Mitsu DSM logo I made fits inside just like the FQ.

^^ so can you get TDR with the same type of high gloss as FQ400 wheels?

I thought the two differences were
1. No Mitsu centercap
2. No OEM high gloss

but I guess one more to add
3. use aftermarket \_/ lugs (ie,VOLK,Aftermarket wheel lugs)

You can not get the Regular TDR wheels in GLoss..only FLAT black,Anthricite,& Silver.
The center caps are Pretty much the exact same except where the FQ's have the Metallic Silver mitsu logo (with blk or some have a lighter silver back ground),..the TDR's have a white back ground w/ the Team DYnamic's logo on them.

I had mine done w/ Blk background and Metallic Silver Mitsu DSM logo.
Everything else about them are The same.
I did alot of homework when I had mine done to make sure they were as Close as possible - The GLoss Blk Really makes a diffrence.

Yes,aftermarket lugs are needed for TDR's not FQ's
