KW Variant 3 from what I've read. I had Zero 2R's for 20k on my wagon, never any issues, worked flawless. Just wish I had more control. If you go KW you'll need to reuse your stut tops or get some pillowball strut tops.

A lot of Veedub folk run KW (V1-V3) and the PSS9's and only have good things to say. I'm considering KW V3's or DMS 40's.

I would like to know what the difference is between the robispec KW's and the regular V3 KW's, other than spring rates. Robi did you change the valving?

Well, it is tempting to jump in and say KW Variant 3.....but more importantly then echoing what everyone else said....the real question is what kind of driving do you do? What tires? Why do you feel like you need coilovers? How many track events? etc. etc. etc.

Don't get me wrong....I loooove KW Variant 3's, especially with our custom rates. BUT if you're just street driving, it's probably overkill.

If on the other hand, you track or autox your car somewhat extensively, love to fiddle with adjustments, or want a smooth and capable coilover for the street AND the track, then these are it. It is truly amazing to have the capability that these offer, being able to set up the car for corner entry and exit....amazing for ~$2k. Especially when they ride pretty well on the street....

On the other hand, 90% of drivers won't take advantage of the KW's, and will not reach their limits with even the stock suspension. There are a hundred set-ups, coilovers and otherwise, and it's not gonna be the same for everyone.

My 2 cents

- Andrew

They are so diferent KW gave me my very own V'3 part #! lol...the "robispec club sport version" of the V'3 uses the high speed piston and high speed curve of the previous Galvanised clubsport V'3's in the Inox housing currently used in the street version of the V'3 this coupled with higher gas pressure (to keep the more aggresive piston quiet) and specific valving to accomadate the "robispec" total handling package = lighter valving front vs rear and slightly heavier valving overall..for the general higher spring rates that will be used ...the EXACT opposite of the Street package (which work VERY well too thank you...) The differace is the total overall end use..Street will give UNMACHED street ride with the damping to go to the track and run with 90% + of the setups out there (tuned) while the Club sports give up a SLIGHT bit in ride quality for SUPERIOR track performace..as always..imo YMMV lol...

Really the Cusco and HKS are very different when compared to the KW's.

The JDM units are for people who want "sweet" mods and "sick" coilovers. They allow you to lower your car and brag to your friends that you have coilovers - With JDM hottness power.

The KW's are more money, and a step away from JDM "tightness" towards actual suspension tuning and vehicle dynamics. They don't come with top hats, and the ride height is not independantly adjustable vs spring pre-load. But they are double adjustable and have more precise and variable valving range then the JDM'ers.
