Stock brembo pads are expensive.. if you want those and nothing else just go to the dealer.. they will cost you around the same just about everywhere.. unless you go with aftermarket pads.. the Bendix part Number is D1001 ... you can go to a performance shop and have the cross reverence them to wutever you want.. or you can go to one of our vendoers and buy some good pads for around 100 bux..

On a need-to-know basis

You know, the same thing crossed my mind. What are some good aftermarket brake pads with equal or better performance than the stock brembo pads?

what about this thread?
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=226333

he seems to have had a bad experience with hawk pads.
does it really cost over $200 to get them installed? i know dealers are expensive, but can i not take the pads to any old shop and supply the parts while they do the labor?

Hawk pads are nice.. but the clunking kind of sucks. The pads do in fact dust way less than my stockers, and they don't squeak. Try doing the pads yourself, it really is a snap to do. If I was pressed for time I'm sure I could do them in 30 mins, but 1 hr taking my time is better

Read the DIY on the pads, it takes more time to jack up the car and take off the wheels than it does to knock 2 pins out and change the pads.

That would be in the Evo "how to/installation" forum.

Here you go:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=96005

If you plan on paying $200 I'm sure you can find a ton of people in NYC to help you. Hell, drive up to Boston and I'll do it for half that cost :P

Seriously, it's very easy to do.

Oh, while I'm at it.. you're going to get this a lot if you don't actually start reading.

Use the "search" button and browse these forums, there is a lot of information here and tons of people who like to give you a hard time for not using that nice search feature.

Endless Vita Nuova pads are comparable to the stock ones (minus some of the dust) at a fraction of the price: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...products_id=49

Call Ken at K&S Brakes (EVOBrakes is his name on here)

He'll get you set up with the right stuff at a good price.

i asked the dealer about brakes today when i picked up my car from getting work done on it. My car doesnt need them but i was curious, they quoted me $4k for pads and rotors installed (they said they have to do both, that they dont resurface), are they on crack or what. i was still laughing when i walked out and got in my car
